Can I purchase the IT Suite separately?
IT Suite is an Add-On Suite that can be added to Business or Enterprise base packages. It cannot be purchased separately; however, you can activate it by paying $1.49/month per employee in addition to your base package fee.
What types of assets can I track?
Any physical asset: laptops, monitors, phones, tablets, printers, vehicles, and more. Custom categories let you organize assets your way. Bulk import via Excel is also supported for large inventories.
How does the IT ticketing system work?
Employees create tickets with a title, description, and priority level. IT staff receive assignments, log time spent, and update status through the workflow. Full history with time logs and status changes is tracked automatically.
Does IT Suite integrate with other Layers modules?
Yes! Asset assignments link to employee profiles in Core HR. Onboarding/offboarding checklists connect with HR operations. Ticket data feeds into People Analytics for IT performance insights.
Can we import our existing asset inventory?
Yes. Bulk import via Excel is supported. Upload your existing inventory with brand, model, serial numbers, categories, and assignment data in one go. Dedicated migration support is included with the Enterprise package.
How does the onboarding/offboarding IT workflow function?
When a new hire starts, an IT checklist is automatically generated: prepare device, assign software licenses, set up accounts. When an employee leaves, the system lists all assigned assets and licenses for recovery, ensuring nothing is forgotten.
